President's Letter

President's Letter
by Phil Baker, Chapter President

I hope everyone has enjoyed their summer and is ready to finish the last quarter strong. This past week the board got together to discuss what our chapters value proposition  is to its members. As someone who is new to the profession, I look forward to each meeting as it presents a unique opportunity to meet others within the field and to discuss ways to encourage success in my 9-5, but that’s just me and I want to hear from you.

As members, we are all stakeholders of our chapter and we’d like to invite all members to share with us his or her requirements, of what is expected to be delivered at each meeting, to make attendance more worthwhile and full of value. Following the next meeting, you will notice subtle changes to our member questionnaire. We encourage you to provide your feedback so that we can plan the rest of the year and explore the most relevant topics based on majority expectations.

We do have a few opportunities for you to invest into your professional community within the chapter, and would encourage you to be a part of our great leadership team. We are looking for someone to be fill the role of VP of the Events Committee, which is primarily focused on planning two networking events each year, so a very contained basic commitment. Anyone interested in providing feedback and/or getting involved, please contact me at
President@denver.iiba.org for more details.

See you at the next chapter meeting!
