Board Member Duties

IIBA Denver members in good standing are eligible to serve and to vote in the election.
IIBA Denver members in good standing will receive the means to vote before the May 20 meeting .

President

  • chief executive officer for the Chapter and of the Board. 
  • registered agent for the State of Colorado
  • primary contact for IIBA International
  • performs such duties as are customary for presiding officers.
  • co-signor on financial accounts for the Chapter
  • member ex-officio with the right to vote on all committees
  • has served in another Board position prior to running in an election for the position of President

VP of Communications

  • keeps records of all business meetings for the Chapter and for the Board.
  • manages Chapter communications, including the Chapter website and newsletter

VP of Finance

  • oversees financial recordkeeping of funds for duly authorized purposes.
  • provides monthly updates, quarterly reports, manages audits and other related financial duties
  • co-signor on financial accounts for the Chapter
  • completes financial reports for IIBA.
  • files regulatory (Form 990, sales taxes, and other appropriate forms) to the IRS and the State of Colorado

VP of Education

  • promotes Business Analysis professionalism through the organization
  • delivery of educational publications, seminars, and workshops designed to help Business Analysts prepare for certification exams
  • responsible for identifying and scheduling speakers for Chapter meetings
  • provides educational opportunities to members and non-members

VP of Member Services

  • responsible for the development and maintenance of a Chapter membership plan
  • maintains appropriate records to substantiate PDUs awarding for meeting attendance

VP of Marketing

  • responsible for the development and maintenance of the Chapter promotional plans
  • responsible for marketing plans, materials, and promotions to increase knowledge about IIBA and the Chapter

VP of Events

  • manages Chapter events including content, locations, scheduling, event management, and event communication materials
